Background

CTI Uganda, in collaboration with the Government of Uganda and the Ministry of Agriculture, launched an initiative to digitally empower farmers across the country. However, there was no existing technological infrastructure suited to Uganda’s unique agricultural ecosystem—until Nectar stepped in.

Challenges

Lack of a unified platform to connect and monitor farmer activities

Need for real-time agricultural assistance and process tracking

Inability to offer policy-linked services and government scheme integration

Demand for a digital wallet to handle financial transactions for inputs and subsidies
